When to visit: : March and April for breeding; September and October for migration.

Top Birds: Ruwenzori Turaco, Ruwenzori Double-collared Sunbird and Grauer’s Swamp Warbler in the lush tropical forests of Nyungwe and Papyrus Gonolek, Shoebill and Papyrus Yellow Warbler in the savannah, swamps and lakes of Akagera.

ammals include Primates, Hippos, Lions, Elephant, Leopard, Rhinos, Giraffe, Buffalo, lots of antelope species and reptiles such as the Nile Crocodiles and the large Nile Monitor Lizard plus savanna snakes.
